Rachel began her life as a teacher and a social worker in rural BC. She later returned to school to study Yoga and holistic healing as well as Broadcast Journalism and teaching ESL. She enjoys writing about the darker themes of life and tends to pick up on dark comedy as a universal theme. As a personality, she comes across as fairly gentle, but her written work is edgy and sometimes very dark. She attributes this to the haunted house she grew up in and as well as a strong outer awareness.
She has lived and worked in Vancouver, Victoria, Nelson, Cowichan Valley, the far edges of BC in tree-planting camps, Mexico and Tofino. Her work has been pilfered from experiences in each place as well as extensive travel abroad.
She is the proud mother of Gracie and writes comedy, short stories, articles and novels whenever time allows.
